I've gone through so many packages of batteries using this thing. And I don't use it that much. This thing just dies in no time flat.
The picture quality ranges from great to terrible. It depends on the lighting in the room. Bad lighting and the picture comes out all grainy and not worth keeping.
Video quality is also soso.
I guess it's a good camera if you're looking for something affordable that does average quality work.

I LOVED my Easyshare C633! The Auto focus was great and took better pics (on automatic focus mode) than friends' cameras which were more expensive. The only huge problem I had with it was that the LCD screen is so fragile. I returned my first (due to broken LCD screen) and had to trash the 2nd (for the same reason). Other than that, I'd say it's a great beginner camera, very user-friendly and easy to operate.
It sucks up batteries, though seems to work best with AA Energizer lithium. Rechargeable Duracell batteries are always good to have, since you'll rotate through them a lot.
By the way...I hope you never have to contact Kodak for help with any product, because the support people at Kodak are not very helpful and you have to jump through hoops to speak to an actual person on the phone.

I bought this as a back up to my bulky full size digital camera. It is great for vacation and you can easily slip it into a pocket. No need to worry about a neck strap or large bag to carry it. The picture quality is about what I expected and occasionally exceeds my expectations. As with most small cameras low light situations are basically out of the question. The flash will compensate for short range images, but don't expect to catch any movement from a distance at night or a poorly lit room. It does great outdoors though. The panoramic stitching impressed me by seamlessly bringing together 3 pictures. The optical zoom isn't that great (I'm so used to the 12x on my other camera) but for general snapshots it should be just fine, and with 10mp you have plenty of room to crop and zoom after the fact. Also, the big 720p video selling point is, in fact, 720p but again don't expect to use it in anything less than perfect lighting conditions. The regular 640x480 does a great job though.
Overall a great buy with a reasonable price, if only for its tiny size.

I bought my Kodak Easyshare CX7330 in February of 2005. It did well although the older it got, the more it ate batteries. With the money I have spent on batteries I would have been better off getting one with a charger and a pack. I have also tried every type of AA battery out there and it is the camera itself with the issues. Now, 2 and a half years later it has taken it's last pictures. The trouble began with when I would turn it on the indicator light would pop up green, then immediately flash red and the lens would not extend out. Sometimes it would work, sometimes not. Now I can put fresh batteries in and if I hold it just right I can take a few pictures, then the low battery icon comes on the screen and it goes dead, even without retracting the lens. As I said, it was a great little camera while it lasted, but I think I will get something more hardy next time.

We have to tell you, wide-angle capabilities in a point-and-shoot digital camera are a revelation. Does this camera have that and more? Sure does. Dual lenses, so that it goes from a wide 23mm equivalent to a 117mm equivalent (6x zoom) without a protruding lens? Check. A large, beautiful LCD? Sure thing. An in-camera panoramic stitch that makes the most of both those features? Oh, yes.
The V570 is also incredibly compact. We carried it in a front pant pocket while traipsing around London, in a jacket pocket on the ski slopes, and in a cargo-pant pocket on mountain climbs. The V570 is very portable, and it's so inconspicuous in its small size that we felt secure with it in a front pant pocket while strap-hanging on Mexico City public transportation.
The V570's wide-angle lens creates interesting effects.
(See larger image.)And then there are the pictures. We love that the wide-angle setting allows us to fit so much into the picture. It also creates some interesting stretching effects in close-ups, as with the photo of cakes at left. In addition, color reproduction is stunning: blue skies are faithfully rendered, bright colors remain bright even in low-light settings or flash photos, and contrast and tonal range are almost always as perfect as we could hope.
The in-camera panoramic stitch mode is also extremely easy, and it produces exquisite results. The only down side to this feature is that it severely limits your other photographic options--the two or three images that make up the panoramas are taken at 3.2-megapixel resolution, and the flash won't fire while you're in panoramic mode. However, we found the resolution to be sufficient in the end, and reserving panoramic use for well-lit scenarios did not prove such a hardship. and works beautifully.

Finally, the camera's video function performs admirably. A friend used his V570 to film a football team taking the field, and both image and sound were top notch. And the large, bright 2.5-inch LCD does its duty well as a photo and video viewer. Separate buttons allow you to zoom in on sections of a photo and navigate within one picture or all the pictures on your card. (Photos can also be viewed in a multi-up mode, which displays nine at a time, or in a slideshow that can be shown on the screen or on your television.)

(Click images for larger views.)This is not to say that the camera doesn't have a few imperfections. It must be docked for charging the battery or downloading images. In photos, bright lights are occasionally surrounded by a purple fringe. The power and scene mode buttons are on the small side, and there's no way to prevent the camera from displaying just-taken images for five seconds after the shot (though you can take another photo immediately by pressing the shutter-release button twice).
These are small gripes about an otherwise stellar camera, though. We've found the V570 to be the best combination of unique features, impressive styling, and overall user-friendliness of any cameras currently available, and we cannot recommend it enough.--Sarah Sternau
