Happy 5 out of 5 stars.

With me being a very picky person when it comes to camera's, I have to say that I was very impressed with the Sony S750. I've taken pictures indoors and outdoors and have been very pleased with the outcome. I was also impressed after I downloaded the images on my computer. I like that it's small and affordable. I would recommend anyone to purchase it.

AMAZING! 5 out of 5 stars.

Editorial Review:

Wrapped in a simple and compact enclosure, the 7.2 megapixel Cyber-shot DSC-S750 digital camera is not your typical point and shoot. It features advanced Face Detection technology that seeks up to three individual faces and optimizes focus, exposure, and color for accurate, natural photos of family and friends. The stylish body houses a powerful lithium-ion battery, a 3x optical zoom lens and a bright, 2.5" LCD screen. Rounding out the package is a high ISO sensitivity that helps reduce blur when shooting indoors or at twilight, even without flash.

Not for the tech unsavy! 4 out of 5 stars.
0 of 0 people found this review helpful.

I purchased this camera after about 2 months of research on every camera out there. I Love this camera, but I only gave it 4 stars for the following reasons:
1. The product manual doesn't really tell you how to use the camera and the tons of functions.
2. The touch screen is incredible. It can get a little overwhelming because one minute you can find a specific setting or function but when you go back to look for it again, you can't.
3. It would be nice if the manual would help out with setting suggestions for taking pics.
4. Many people say that this camera takes bad pics, but I have found that you really need to get to know the settings and flash controls.
5. The software that comes with this is a bit confussing. I was on Kodak easyshare before buying the Sony Cybershot DSC-T70. The Kodak Easyshare software is WWWAAAAYYYY easier for everything. Sony would be smart to look at Kodak's software and make changes to there software.
6. The flash is way too brite. A photographer friend of mine recommended taking a small piece of scotch tape (clear-frosted) and put it over the flash. This made a world of differance!

Overall, this is a fantastic camera! It has taken me a few weeks to get used to the settings, but I'm really glad that I didn't give up. No product out there is going to be perfect and everything is always going to upset someone, but this one is worth the time to get to know. I love that you can edit pics on the camera however, I can't figure out how to edit on the Sony software... One more recommendation, DO NOT use the red eye function. I have had better pics not using this feature than with it.

Zoom in and capture all the action with the H10. This full-featured point-and-shoot camera shines with outstanding high-power zoom capability and Advanced Sports mode for split-second detail. It includes Face Detection technology to optimize focus, exposure and color for up to eight faces. Snap incredibly clear photos with 8.1-Megapixel Resolution, and enjoy tight close-ups with the 10x optical zoom Carl Zeiss lens. The large, bright 3.0" Clear Photo LCD Plus display tilts up for comfortable low-angle shooting, and an anti-reflective coating provides for excellent visibility to help you compose, view, and share photos with superb clarity and color reproduction, even in bright sunlight. So much better than my old Canon... 5 out of 5 stars.
2 of 2 people found this review helpful.

My last camera was a Canon, and I was never satisfied of indoor shots (usually of my cats). I should also note I have fluorescent lighting, that added to the problem. I reviewed Fuji, Panasonic, Canon, Olympus, and Sony cameras before making this purchase. The first two pictures I took when I got home almost blew me away. The sun was going down, and all the lights were off in the house, and the high ISO setting and Easy setting was still turning out some really nice pictures. You need a tripod for the twilight setting, but other that that, this camera is *awesome* for indoor shots.

The sophisticated, compact body features an enviable 10.1 megapixel resolution, Carl Zeiss 5x optical zoom lens, and Sony's Double Anti-Blur solution for crisp, clear images. For easy viewing and sharing, the large 2.7" LCD displays your shots in vibrant color. In addition, Face Detection technology, Smile Shutter, and Intelligent Scene Recognition elicit stunning detail from special moments.

Good pictures - but maybe an onboard software issue 4 out of 5 stars.
1 of 1 people found this review helpful.

I bought this camera right before a recent month long vacation. It took great pictures and unexpectedly was able to capture things in unusual light I didn't think it would handle. However, I had several problems. I attempted to take several pictures of camouflaged critters, and the camera just couldn't focus. I tried multiple settings, but the lizards and bugs were not patient enough for me to work until I could find a setting that would focus in close up conditions on a hard to distinguish subject. I still haven't figured out how to get this to happen and the companion instruction book offered no help that I could find for this kind of thing. The other problem I had is that the camera seemed to occasionally lose its little mind. I would turn on the review function and start paging back through my pictures, and the camera would turn itself on and drop out of review mode. Sometimes no matter what I tried to do it would not allow me to review my pictures. This issue would clear up if I left the camera off for a few hours. Then sometimes I would have it on a setting on the dial and be taking pictures and the menu describing the dial settings would appear on screen and rotate through settings without me touching the setting dial. At times it would do this rapidly. To get it to stop I turned off the camera. When I turned it back on, this problem would mysteriously have resolved itself. But despite these weird behaviors I was happy with the pictures I captured, and if there were not the what looks like an onboard software problem, I could wholeheartedly recommend the camera.

Editorial Review:

Take stunning shots in a variety of conditions. This 8.1 megapixel Cyber-shot digital camera features an Intelligent Scene mode which automatically selects the right settings for your environment. Smile Shutter technology is also included, letting you instantly capture smiles the moment they happen. A 2.7" LCD, Carl Zeiss 5X optical zoom lens and Sony's Double Anti-Blur solution are also there for crisp, clear images and tight zooms. All this combined with an attractive body make the W150 an excellent choice for capturing the moment no matter where you are.

don't buy sony cameras 1 out of 5 stars.
4 of 11 people found this review helpful.

The problem with Sony cameras, both photo and video, is that Sony uses a variety of Sony memory sticks. My Sony video camera memory stick does not fit in my Sony Vaio. Incompatibility is a big problem generally within the Sony family. My girlfriend's Vaio's charger does not work on my Vaio. I have made a commitment to myself to not buy anything anymore from Sony because I'm tired of having to carry an adapter for SD cards and having a memory stick gate which doesn't accept my video camera, and remembering to not pack my girlfriends charger when I go traveling, and so on.

For speedy recovery, the BIONZ image processor gets you ready for the next shot. In addition, it has Face Detection technology that detects up to eight faces and optimizes focus, exposure, and color for accurate, natural photos of family and friends.

Excellent starter outfit 4 out of 5 stars.
1 of 1 people found this review helpful.

The 18-70mm kit lens was sharp enough for portraiture at its telephoto focal lengths. All-automatic exposure, focus and flash produced good results on many typical scenes. Both this lens and the companion 75-300mm kit lens should have numerically smaller f-stops, and so I bought a 1.7 used Minolta 50mm lens for serious available light work. Therein lies one of the Sony's attractions: Minolta A-mount lenses work in full auto mode. Sony's proprietary battery is outrageously expensive, but so are batteries for other DSLRs -- even so, it's wise to have a backup battery.

EXCELLENT CAMERA 5 out of 5 stars.

I GOT THIS CAMERA FOR MY WIFE ON OUR 10TH ANNIVERSARY AND SHE COULD NOT HAVE BEEN HAPPIER. TAKES GREAT QUALITY PICS AND IS VERY EASY TO USE ONCE YOU GET THE HANG OF IT. SO FAR THE ONLY NEGATIVE IT NOT BEING ABLE TO SEE THE PICTURE IN THE LCD SCREEN BEFORE TAKING THE PICTURE, BUT I FOUND OUT THAT IS OFFERED IN THE A300K. WILL PROBABLY UPGRADE ONCE WE FIND OUT WHAT ALL THIS CAMERA HAS TO OFFER.
