I bought this camera because I thought it's a great value. I paid $170 a year ago, hard to beat the price considering this is a 10 mp camera.
I've given it 3 starts because I do like the quality of the pictures. It's sharp enough for me, I'm not a professional photographer or anything, but I've been taking daily pictures of my baby since she was born and the results have been pretty good with this camera.
As far as recording videos,......This camera is terrible. The quality is awful, very grainy and once you transfer the videos to your computer, it's almost impossible to hear the sound. I don't know if I'm doing something wrong - like another reviewer said, the manual is no help whatsoever, you have to figure it all out by trail and error .
My brother has recently bought the exact same camera, but 8 mp instead of 10, and much to my surprise his videos have a much better quality than mine. I can't figure out why.

hi my name is Linda Thames i use to own a Kodak easy share m863 and it was a really good camera but now i own a Kodak easy share m763 and it works really good and it has pretty much the same features expect it has 7.2 mega pixels and a it is black the other one was red with 8.2 mega pixels the m763 still has the face dector on the camera and you still can crop your pictures on the camera and all that i got this camera at Kmart for $119 it is a very nice camera

This camera is a relatively new entry, so there are not many reviews out there. I bought it based largely upon the hype of it's low noise high ISO performance - and I'm glad I did. The camera's large sensor (.61") and superb image processor allow low-noise photos up to about ISO 1250. And the optical image stabilizer works very well in both single and continuous modes. Another selling point is the fact that you have three battery choices. A non-rechargeable CRV3 lithium, a rechargeable DLK-8000, or two non-rechargeable AA batteries. The camera comes with the CRV3 only (the reason I deducted one star). The CRV3 seems to last forever, but it ain't cheap. I picked up a Lenmar DLK-8000 and charger for $40 and will use the CRV3 as a backup. The menu system is so intuitive, I have yet to read the user guide. And for the first time ever I actually use the scene modes, since there are clear on-screen explanations of each icon's meaning and its function. Other things I love about this camera: face detection, very intuitive program and manual modes, automatic in camera red eye reduction, 720p HD video mode, wide screen capture mode, sound tag recording capability, in camera cropping and slide show/multimedia sideshow playback capability. All at a great price point. I love this camera. I think you will too.

2nd C713 - both good for a month and ended up to be lemons 1 out of 5 stars.

My daughter and I were initially pleased. The pics were sharp for a $100 camera and it was easy to use. After less than 2 mos however it would no longet turn on. New batteries did not solve this problem so I returned it for another. No issues with this one for about the same time and then the same defect hit. After it sat around for weeks I decided to give it another try with new batteries and it worked for one picture before shutting down once again.
I'll be contacting Kodak but wanted to post this

I am not a big picture taker. I haven't had a camera in years. This camera is my first digital camera and I love it. My husband and I are building a house now and I take the camera every day for construction shots. It takes great pictures when set on auto and it is so easy to use. When the pictures are printed the are very crisp and clear. I tried some of the other options on the camera itself but didn't see much of a difference.(could be me). I did buy a 1GB memory card because the camera itself holds only about 12 pictures. I also carry extra batteries because the original ones went bad within a month. I was prepared for the memory and battery problem so it didn't bother me.
It's a great camera for the price and also for a beginner. I love taking all kinds of pictures and then going through them on my computer. This sure beats the days when you had to develop every picture you took.
