The video and audio quality are the best of any of the 3-4 point and shoots that can do 720p video, but you'll burn through the battery in 45 minutes of casual use.
Touchscreen is a bit cheesy to me, but i prefer a button i can feel. I expect iPhone quality touchscreen resolution and responsiveness these days, and the screen on this cam feels 2 years old.

I have owned this camera for almost a month now and have been very satisfied with it. The 5x zoom is excellent and much better than my prior camera's 3x zoom. The HD video is super and I can get over 3 hours of HD video on my 16gb memory card pro duo. I was worried about the battery life based upon other reviews. The camera took 120 pictures and 7 minutes of HD video outside with no flash. That is plenty good for me. I have an extra battery just in case and estimate the flash will bring down the number of pictures to about 2/3 of what I got without the flash.
All in all, this camera is very nice, takes good pictures and video, and was worth what I paid.

You can fit more in the photo than you can with a 35mm lens, so you can get more of a sweeping landscape in a single shot. I just needed a camera for fun..and I have had a Canon before. I didn't like that my old one had a rechargeable battery that didn't last long so I am really happy to find one like my old one that is a million times better in quality and it takes real batteries that LAST!! I LOVE IT!! Takes great pictures and it's super easy to use...comparing it to my old one (which was an Elph), it takes much faster pictures although you do have to hold the shutter button down to take a picture which is annoying to have to tell other people using it. Overall I highly reccommend it..takes great pictures!!!

Never mind that the 2 AA Battery's only last for about 20 pictures. I say never mind that because once your done with them in the camera they are still at 90% and will last for a long time in your tv remote or computer mouse or whatever you have that runs on AA's. I would recommend the rechargeable battery's but just remember that those used AA's from your photo shoot are still perfectly charged ( just not enough for this killer camera! It takes awesome pics and great video. HD video! This is a must buy. TRIPOD IS A MUST we are talking about HIGH DEFINITION IMAGES AND VIDEO SO STABILIZATION IS A MUST AT ALL TIMES! Remember the sun is your best tool when shooting :) I hope this helps people to make better decisions.
