Keeping this review simple, the camera was a present for my younger brother. I am one of those people who research and research and research some more. With Price in mind an older camera was needed. Canon has always been known for its picture quality. Although this camera does not have 5x optical zoom and image stability, all the other features are top quality. for this price range you can't get anything better.

I've been testing and looking at cameras in this price range for weeks, and although you can get more megapixels for the price in other brands, don't do it! This one easily beats out EVERY other model in this price range. Compared to a 10 megapixel Fujifilm camera, this 8 megapixel camera takes FAR better pictures, with finer detail, and better quality all around.
Also, this camera takes phenomenal macro shots, has excellent response time, and it's totally sleek & cute. I highly recommend this camera!

Like the last review I had this camera only a few days when the lens stopped retracting! Amazon mailed me another before i could even print the return label!As far as the actual picture quality its great. Powers on amazingly fast which is great when you have a toddler. Hopefully my replacement is right on point. Thanks Amazon for always great customer service!

I love my new camera. It's compact, loaded with features (and therefore versatile), easy to use, and attractive. It doesn't have an optical viewfinder, but I don't need it. I am super happy with its wide 3.8x optical zoom and large lcd. It's well-designed. Would buy it again.

As a REALTOR, this camera allows me to take any shot of any room or house whether or not there is adequate lighting. The 28mm wide angle is certainly noticeable when standing at a doorway of a 10x10 room. The Zoom is wonderful when standing on a corner of a 5 acre lot.

Awesome compact camera that fits in your pocket or purse to take with you everywhere!! It has more features then the Canon SD850IS so it takes a little longer to get used to, but well worth the time!!! I LOVE the red eye correction feature. My son has bright blue eyes and they are red in every picture. With this feature I can edit them right then on the camera and not have to mess with photo software on the computer. I am very satisfied with my purchase!
