Building on the immense success of the Nikon D3 professional D-SLR camera, the D700 offers pro-level performance and an extensive array of features and innovations in a comfortably nimble platform. Nikon's flagship FX and DX-format cameras, the D3 and D300 respectively, established new benchmarks for digital image quality, speed, and unmatched ISO performance. Great Camera! 5 out of 5 stars.
2 of 2 people found this review helpful.

Buy this camera! I have read reviews that said that this camera was too small. I am 6'2" with big hands and I think the size is perfect. I think some people are stuck in the 35mm film days and don't realize that a digital slr does not have to be like a film slr. This camera is fast, small, and light. It takes great pictures. My other digital slr is a monster compared to this. I will keep it for some things (sigma sd14) but for most of my photography the e-410 is a perfect fit. Plus it has a dust removal system which sadly the sigma does not have. For the price there is nothing else that even comes close. Unless you are a professional photographer I can't see why you would need more. Buy this camera! I got mine from Cameta for $339.00 with the 14-42 lens. The ad said refurb but mine was an untouched demo.

Editorial Review:

Life is in the details, and the EVOLT E-410 was built to let you capture all of them. The Live View LCD is an uncommonly cool feature for a digital SLR. And when you experience the ergonomic feel and lightweight portability of this camera, you'll want to take it everywhere. Whether the important details of your life are smiling faces or far-away places, you'll capture pristine, detailed memories, thanks to a proven Dust Reduction System and powerful 10-megapixel imager.

One of the best digital SLR deals on the market 5 out of 5 stars.
1 of 1 people found this review helpful.

The D80 is my first digital SLR, and my fourth Nikon camera. I've owned 35mm SLR cameras since 1975 or so. The D80 is already my favorite of them all. It packs a lot of features, Nikon reliability, and a good form factor into one well-priced package.

I had first intended to purchase the D60, but after doing a side-by-side feature comparison, I decided that the D80 provided more bang for the buck. One feature the D80 has that was critical to me is a depth of field preview -- an important feature for macro photography, and not one you will find on the D40 or D60 cameras.

People with small hands may find the D40/D60 easier to handle, but the D80 feels great in my average sized hands.

I purchased the 16-85mm and 70-300mm VR lenses at the same time and I am very happy with my choices.

A great choice 5 out of 5 stars.
1 of 1 people found this review helpful.

My Pentax K200D arrived over 3 weeks ago and I have taken several hundred pictures. I am a dentist and I use this camera to take portrait and close-up photos almost every day. My K200D is combined with a ring flash and a Sigma 105 macro lens. I also bought the 18-55mm lens in case I want to use it outside the office.
It is easy to use and takes beautiful, high resolution pictures that you can crop and enlarge with great results.

I chose this camera over the Sony, Nikon, Canon and Olympus SLR's for several reasons.
I need to take photos quickly and I need to take them all now. I can't wait for a dead battery to recharge. The K200D uses AA batteries. If the rechargeable AA NiMH batteries are dead, I can take them out and temporarily replace them with standard batteries quickly.
The K200D uses an SD card as well as some of my other digital cameras, digital storage devices and my camcorder. My computer has a built-in SD slot so this simplifies my data storage needs.
Since I hand-hold my camera I wanted a camera with image-stabilizing. The K200D has this feature built into the body, not the lens, so the number of lenses available is greater and the cost of lenses is less and I always have this feature available.
If you read reviews on Amazon or other Web pages you may see criticism regarding brightness or color issues with the K200D. I haven't found this to be a problem. If you don't agree with the engineers at Pentax who calibrated the camera you should be aware there are many simple adjustments available to change the brightness or color settings from the Fn menu, Custom Image options and you can have photos "Your Way" from then on.
Since I shoot in M or Manual mode I use the Auto Bracketing feature all the time. All I have to do is push the Shutter button 3 times and one of the exposures will work. The first shot is what I think should work, the 2nd is darker and the 3rd is lighter.
The K200D can take excellent photos for beginners in the simplest mode and can be highly adjustable for the demanding seasoned photographer. I use the camera for work because it is a fine tool and has the features I need, but all digital SLRs are big and heavy for me. I am no longer interested going on vacation carrying 3 or 4 lbs of camera, batteries and lens over my shoulder waiting for that Kodak moment. For travel and vacation I want small cameras that fit in a purse or pocket. My 2 favorites that I have used for years are the Nikon 8400, and when I may take pictures in water, the Pentax W30. Both cameras take video with sound.
Be sure to avoid shady camera websites with prices significantly below Amazon. For the highest confidence I use Amazon.

Good Deal 5 out of 5 stars.
8 of 8 people found this review helpful.

I bought this camera with the two lenses from a different vendor. After researching DSLR's I found this buy to be a good one. Seeing this ad with all the components makes me wish I'd waited a bit longer. This is a good deal for a great entry level digital slr. The camera is easy to use and takes excellent pics. I'd suggest getting the DVD that explains all the features. It's worth the $20. I believe it's available through Olympus.
I own several SLR's from professional to amateur, Canon, Minolta, etc. I waited for prices to come down to get into DSLR's. Olympus gave me a good reason. Consider Canon's and Nikon's offerings at nearly twice the price. Actually, a friend bought a Canon that went for $1400. I couldn't find a difference of $800 between the cameras or pictures it took.
The extra battery, disc and bag are definitely worth it. This is a good buy.

As good as advertised 4 out of 5 stars.

Reviewed well by Consumer Reports, in DVD tutorial, and general user comments as a full-featured, prosumer DSLR at a competitive price, all confirmed by my initial exploration on a field trip. The E-510 is a good bargain for a newbie photographer like myself and I would think it would satisfy the needs of a more experienced photohound looking for a better bang for their buck than they'd get from a Nikon or Canon model.

Your life is full of priceless, fleeting moments that you want to keep just the way you see and feel them. Preserve each moment with the E-520. With the E-520's Live View, you can shoot your subject while viewing it on the LCD monitor, so it's just like shooting with a compact camera. In addition to phase-difference detection AF, the E-520 incorporates a high speed Imager AF that offers easy 11-point multi-area autofocusing with Live View simply by half-pressing the shutter button. Face Detection AF automatically detects up to 8 faces at a time and adjusts focus appropriately. Accurate composition is assured by the monitor's 100% field of view. The E-520 is equipped with a 2.7" HyperCrystal II LCD monitor with high-definition 230,000-dot resolution, improved contrast ratio, and enhanced color reproduction capability. While shooting with Live View, framing-assist patterns or a histogram can be displayed on the LCD monitor to improve your picture composition and check exposure condition. The E-520 incorporates a Live MOS sensor with 10-Megapixels, Olympus' original TruePic III image processing engine delivers improved imaging, gradation expression and color reproduction capabilities as well as minimized noise at high ISO setting. Olympus' highly acclaimed dust reduction system employs a Supersonic Wave Filter in front of the image sensor, which vibrates at such high speed and with such great power that it removes even the most stubborn dust; dust that cannot be removed by just shaking the image sensor or by discharging the static electricity.
